Bloodhounds (Chien de Saint-Hubert) are an ancient European breed.
Bloodhounds are excellent hunters, with a strong scent detection skill and are used for hunting prey, lost civilians and for police work at locating criminals.
They are a large breed and require regular exercise.
Longevity is variable, from 10 - 12 years.
