Diminazene is an anti-protozoal drug used against Babesia spp infections in dogs.

This drug, which is a di-amidine, binds to DNA and RNA within the protozoan nucleus. It is usually given in concert with imidocarb dipropionate and clindamycin[1].

Recommended dose rate is 2.0 - 10.0 mg/kg, given intramuscularly as a single dose.
