Mirtazepine is a 5-HT3 receptor antagonist and H1 receptor antagonist.

Mirtazepine has anxiolytic, hypnotic, antiemetic and appetite stimulant properties[1].

Recommended dose rate in dogs is 0.5 - 1.0 mg/kg given orally every 3 days.
