Stridor

Stridor is a high-pitched wheezing sound resulting from turbulent air flow in the upper airway. It can be confused with stertor, which is an inspiratory low-pitch, snoring-like sound.

This sound, which can be produced during inspiration and expiration is produced by narrowed or obstructed airways and indicative of airway obstruction due to:
