Arthropathy refers to any joint disease which results in clinical signs referable to that organ dysfunction, including stiffness, ataxia, muscle tremors in the affected limb, fever, and reluctance to move the affected limb(s).
Polyarthropathy refers to the involvement of many joints.
Causes of polyarthropathy include:
- Immune-mediated arthritis
- Hypertrophic osteodystrophy
- Osteochondritis dissecans
- Nutritional secondary hyperparathyroidism
- Infectious arthropathy
