Desoxycorticosterone

From Dog

Desoxycorticosterone is a long-acting glucocorticoid drug with primarily mineralococrticoid properties.

This drug acts as a precursor to aldosterone and is used primarily as an alternative to fludrocortisone for treatment of canine hypoadrenocorticism.

Recommended dose rate in dogs is 0.5 - 2.0 mg/kg given orally once daily[1].
