Florfenicol

From Dog

Florfenicol is a broad-spectrum antimicrobial similar in action to chloramphenicol.

This drug shows good efficacy against Staphylococcus pseudintermedius, Staphylococcus aureus, Escherichia coli, Pasteurella spp and Streptococcus canis[1].

Recommended dose rate in dogs is 10 - 20 mg/kg given orally or parenterally[2].
