Also known as the Ainu-Ken, Dō-Ken or Seta, the Hokkaido dog is a Japanese dog breed developed in Hokkaido.

It is a popular breed and the Japanese mascot, a medium-sized breed with small triangular ears and small eyes.

The dog was originally a hunting dog and used to protect owners against the Japanese bears, but has since become a household pet.
