Hydroxyurea

Hydroxyurea (Hydroxycarbamide) is a chemotherapeutic drug occasionally used in canine medicine for various neoplastic conditions.

Indications for use include:

Recommended dose rate in dogs is 60 mg/kg orally once daily for 14 days then 30 mg/kg daily thereafter.

Mild anemia and skin lesions appears to be a consistent side-effect of this drug[1].
