Hypogammaglobulinemia

From Dog

Hypogmmaglobulinemia is defined as a transient or chronic reduction in circulating levels of immunoglobulin G (IgG).

Transient hypogammaglobulinemia is a characteristic feature of numerous Alaskan and high altitude dogs, characterized by marked reductions in IgG, IgE and IgM. Most affected dogs were clinically normal when tested[1].

A predisposition to infectious diseases may exist in affected dogs.
