Nandrolone is an anabolic steroid use for weight gain, appetite stimulation and treatment of chronic illness in dogs.

Nandrolone has been used for treatment of diethylstilboestrol-induced anemia[1] and chronic hepatitis[2], but with variable results.

Recommended dose rate is 1 mg/kg given intramuscularly monthly.
