Prochlorperazine

Prochlorperazine is a mixed α1/α2 and dopaminergic D2 receptor antagonist with antiemetic and analgesic properties[1].

This is drug is a pre-anesthetic sedative agent which is also used for motion sickness.

Few side-effects have been reported in dogs when given at recommended doses[2].

Recommended dose rate in dogs is 0.1 mg/kg IM given every 6 - 12 hours.
