Ronidazole

Ronidazole is a benzimidazole anthelmintic drug used for various internal parasites.

In canine medicine, it is primarily used to treat Giardia spp[1] and Cryptosporidium spp.

Side-effects such as gastroenteritis and neurological signs may be evident at doses which exceed recommended levels.

Recommended dose rate in dogs is 30 - 50mg/kg orally twice daily for 7 days.
