Sarcoma are an aggressive soft-tissue tumor of dogs derived from mesenchymal tissues such as bone, cartilage, fat, muscle, vascular or hematopoietic tissues.
The tumors are aggressive growths commonly located in visceral organs (liver, heart, spleen) and bone.
- Malignant mesenchymoma
- Spindle cell tumor
- Splenic sarcoma
- Synovial cell sarcoma
These tumors are highly aggressive and early detection is warranted to effectively treat them with wide surgical extirpation and radiation therapy.
Prognosis is guarded, especially in advanced cases.
