Pyruvate Dehydrogenase Phosphatase 1 is a global mitochondrial enzyme which reverses the effects of pyruvate dehydrogenase kinase upon pyruvate dehydrogenase.

This disease is mainly reported in the Clumber Spaniel and Sussex Spaniel.
